I bought a 2017 Mazda CX5 Grand Touring l, automatic, last year for $17k with about 22k miles on it from the Mazda dealers.
I love the car. Its about 42k miles now.
About once a month (sometime 4-5x months) I smell either sweet gas or one time more recently a metallic gas smell when idealling, but it goes away for long periods of time to be too alarming, I checked for leaks around the engine but didn't notice anything, should I be worried?

Wait do you mean sweet gas = a sweet smell or sweet petrol? Because a sweet smell inside the cabin is generally coolant.. also, what is metallic gas smell? Can you try an alternative description please?
Where do you smell the gas most? Under the hood or in the back of the car?
Its from the back. It's really 90% of the time no smell. Once in a blue i get it.
Clean the MAF sensor and replace the engine air filter.
