Any shop recommendations for a tune up beside the dealer. I feel dealership are far to expensive and I’ve bin scammed few times.
Any recommendations? Or where to go? Just check google reviews?
I drive a 1999 Toyota 4 runner

Japanese Auto Tech Center in North Hollywood off of Sherman Way. I’ve gotten Axles, Struts, and Fuel Pump Assembly done there on my Honda. Fair price for the area.

TBH, I go to the dealer for oil changes and other things only when I can find a coupon or deal.
A dealer wanted $1200 for one axle replacement. Took it to an independent mechanic, and got it done for less than half of that price.
