Spark Plug Replacement Interval

Topic starter

2014 Lexus GX460 64,443 miles.  Lexus service manual says that the spark plugs get replaced at 120,000 miles.  Is that TRUE?  Thanks!

@drwgca
Changed my nissan plugs at 90,000 miles. They were the older platinum plugs, but still looked good after all that time.

Yes because they have iridium plugs and they last a really long time

This can be true with the new iridium spark plugs.

120,000 mile is pushing it or did they say 120,000 km?

Ps I am not saying this is good idea.

130 bucks for spark plugs

10,000 for a new engine

That's too long for a spark plug interval! 40,000 to 60,000 miles is a good interval for iridium spark plugs.

Well Scotty just answered it. I usually replace them every 60,000 miles. It doesn't really hurt me...
