Change the fuel filter and then pressure test the fuel pump. Also, load test the battery and alternator. Regarding your question about buying/trading for another car, it is not the time. The used car price is too high due to the demand.

Thank you, yaser....I will pass this on to my present mechanic. Mechanic #1 put a new #1 Coil on and new spark plugs.....pronounced it great to drive across country....Mechanic #2 kept it for 3. days and could find nothing wrong. (it happens sporadically). Mechanic #3 moved parts around....put the new Coil from #1 on #3 and also Fuel Injector.....trying to see if it was the coil or something else wrong with #1....is still doing it...sporadically.....says he needs to have the car 'when it is doing it'....I am going to leave it with him about 5 days for him to drive and maybe he can figure it out. I will tell him your suggestions. Thank you for advice regarding the trade for another car.....it's just that this is so undependable and I am 'on edge' any time I have to go anywhere, and really nervous if I have to pull a hill and definitely cannot go out of town with it.😟
