Start up engine wear

Hi, I’d love to hear an answer on YouTube as well and maybe someone will take the hint. Why don’t they put pre-start oiling pumps on cars and cut the wear and tear down. They were doing that on aircraft clear back in WW2 so I think they could figure it out. Thanks

This question has been answered here before at least a couple of times.

cost versus benefit.

These are a consumer cars, not government funded aircraft.

Probably because it is cheaper for them not to.

Because the car manufacturers want your engine to wear out one day after the warranty expires to get you to spend more money.  I never drive my vehicles until they reach operating temperatures.  If you use a thick oil additive, it'll keep a little more oil in the top of the engine longer, reducing wear.

Something like Lucas oil stabilizer.
