Hey Scotty.
I’ve got a 2016 Ford Ecosport 1ltr engine, manual transmission with a 37k miles.
When I leave my A/C on and switch the car off from the ignition my car doesn’t start up the following day. Is this normal??
I make sure it’s turned off before parking up now.
Thanks
No. There should be no drain on the battery while the ignition is switched off. The circuit needs to be tested and repaired.
@cjbman
I agree with this guy there should be no draw when the ignition is off.
Do you mean you leave the blower running for a few minutes before you leave the vehicle? Or do you mean you don’t turn off the AC before you shut the engine?
Either way, get your battery & alternator load tested. Are you on the original battery?
This is a head scratcher. Ill think on it and ask some ppl.
Better yet buy a Foxwell BT-705 and test it yourself (if you have the skill set). Curses! Scotty and your tool reviews. I thought I had enough R&O equipment.
