Topic starter
I have a 2000 Mazda B3000 pickup truck with about 222,000 miles. I was driving and heard a clunk and the motor shut off. I glided into a parking lot and tried to start it with a booster box. It just gave a clunk and the negative battery connection got very hot. The tow truck tried to start it and it wouldn't start. The battery is good and reads over 12V. I'm concerned about the negative battery terminal heating up. Do you think it's the starter or could the engine be locked up?

Obviously the engine is locked up because the starter isn't going to make it clunk it clunk when the engine locked up
