trouble starting after refuelling

Hi!
I’m tapped out and cannot think of a legitimate reason for this problem I’m experiencing.
i have a 2015 GMC Canyon. I absolutely love my truck but I have a problem that occurs every time I refuel.
Every time I refuel, the truck is difficult to start. It almost acts like a starter issue where the engine simply doesn’t turn over. I know that’s not the issue though. I believe it may be an injector problem. After I pump the gas and eventually get it to start, I have no more issues. The truck can sit for a week and it will fire right up, no problem. The problem only happens immediately after refuel. In fact, once I do get it started, there’s no issues until I have to fuel up again.
Could you help me understand what the problem could be?

Thank you so much!

Purge Valve may be leaking.

The next time you gas up pull the canister purge line off of the purge valve and move it aside BEFORE you start pumping gas.

See if it starts. If it does, reconnect the line and drive to the auto parts store. Replacing the purge valve on your Canyon is easy.

how does his pump know, he has just refuelled?

By the amount of pressure the pump "feels" at its inlet due to the weight of the fuel. Though more typically the opposite problem happens - an old fuel pump can have trouble keeping up with engine demand when there isn't much fuel in the tank, but works better when you fill up.

this is often a failing fuel pump. Try measuring the pressure.
