Why is my 2006 Honda Accord hard to start?

I own a 2006 Honda Accord sedan, 2.4l engine, with 172,000 mileage. When I turn the key to start to car, nothing happens. When I try the second time, it sometimes turns the engine over and starts. So I remove the key and insert the key again and it starts, sometimes. What your take on the issue I described? My first thought that it's a bad battery in the key fob. I replaced the battery a couple of months ago, so it's not the battery. Please help me your advice.

Thank you so much for your time,

Richard from Houston Texas.

Your ignition switch may be faulty. Try with your spare key. You can also wiggle the key to see if it makes any difference.

Our 06 Honda Accord was had to start as well, turned out the starter was on the way out around 148K.  Replacing it is a bear due to the location.
