This is a 2007 Altima 2.5 L 4cylinder
It has this vibration which makes the steering vibrate and makes it sound like its rattling. It only happens while its cold and its warming up. The whole car does vibrate, u can feel it but not that much. We did change one of the engine mounts, (the dog mount), but not the other. We also changed the valve cover gasket and 2 ignition coils. The link to the video and noise is here. https://photos.app.goo.gl/U6YnA6sqrpg4EHTKA
Sorry, I can’t make it out.
@oneimich
What do u mean. Can you access the video or no?
The video is fine I just can’t make out the sound to your problem.
Put the volume up to max, then try
I have the same problem. Did u find any fix?
I would check the rest of the motor mounts. A vibration in the engine bay like that could resonate through the entire vehicle. So what sounds like your steering wheels is going to fall off, you got to remember that the steering column is mounted to a shaft that then mounts to a steering gear which bolted down to the subframe. So any vibrations in the subframe would resonate through whatever is attached to it, like motor mounts or trans mounts.
Its vibrates like hell when its cold. Once the engine warms up, the vibration stables. Engine rpm does not flucate also. There is whats sounds a like timing chain rattle when accelerating.
Its my parents car, they really dont care and I cant do anything.
Vibration which smoothens out as the car warms up sounds like worn rubber mounts. Yeah I’d check all your engine & transmission mounts.
Guys be careful. This is an old post that somebody dug up.
Just noticed! Thanks.
