A mechanic complaint that is customer steering is very hard. It's a 2010 inline 4 cylinder engine. I scanned the car and saw U0129, P0141, and P0135 codes. For the "U" code I checked and saw that the brake module was left unplugged and when the mechanic connected that wire back to the module there were lots of smoke coming out there. So in a hurry he unplugged it again.
Additionally, I noticed that the EPS light comes on on ignition switch on but when the car started the light will shutoff but will come back again within minutes or less as I show in the video below.
Please how do I solve this problem permanently?

That car has electronic power steering so you're going to need to have it scanned with a professional-grade scan tool that can do bidirectional testing.
For a hard steering wheel the first thing my mind goes to without having driven it myself is issue with the power steering system which as the issue gets more it will get harder. For example even making a simple turn the steering wheel would be so hard that you will end up probably doing a wider turn than normal to literally "fight" the steering wheel to make the turn.
The PO141 is the oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 2 so driver side behind the cat and the PO135 is malfunction of A/F sensor heater circuit. I don't know about the steering maybe power steering but I would have to be there to actually feel and see what you're talking about to help with that.
Please how can I fix that steering wheel light problem
Something with the power steering system maybe air in the system bad pump things like that I would look through https://www.carproblemzoo.com/toyota/corolla/2010/power-steering-light-on-problems.php to see if any of those is your issue it has a whole list of stuff.
I will be glad to hear from you!
