I have a 2010 Acura TSX V6 with 156000 miles. I was turning left and the steering wheel locked up for about 4 seconds. Low speed just pulling off on a green light after a red light. The back end started sliding cause I guess my car thought I was trying to do a doughnut 😞. Google tells me it could be the power steering pump or the steering rack. Anything else I might need to know 🤔 before taking to mechanic and they try to make it seem crazy? Is this an hard fix?
Thank you in advance. I love your videos!
If you mean it actually locked up and you could not turn the wheel at all, you want to fix that right away. It's usually the steering wheel lock that locks when you turn the key off. Have that looked at right away. That's dangerous if that's the case
maybe your serpentine belt slipped. Check the belt and tensioner. You shouldn't be able to twist it too much.
