Scotty, I have a new-to-me 1978 Mercedes 450SL with 70,000 miles on it. Based on the sticker on the door panel, the previous owners took it to a fast oil change place. I cannot undo the drain plug despite trying with very large rachets, using the correct Mercedes socket. I suspect it has been air-racheted on by the fast lube place. Since the oil pan is aluminum, I don't want to put so much force that I crack the pan. What do you suggest to undo the plug so I can do an oil change?
Thanks,
Mike in California

Well heat the thing up with a torch is playing oil and there won't hurt anything and then it should come right out
