Subaru misfire

  1. Hey Scotty! Greetings from Ottawa Ontario! I have a 2009 Subaru Outback 2.5i manual with 150,000km and I’ve had an ongoing issue with a cylinder 3 misfire (code p303) I replaced the spark plugs and that solved it for a bit, but it came back so I replaced the wires with NGK wires which fixed it for a bit but the code came back. I then replaced the ignition coil which solved it for about 7 months, but the car started surging and missing again yesterday and the p303 code came back. What should I look into next? Thanks! 
    Ps: the head gaskets and timing belt were done at a Subaru dealership 2 years ago by the previous owner

Swap the ignition coil on cylinder 3 with cylinder 2 and check to see if the misfire location changes. If it does, replace the coil again.
