Subaru XV Crosstrek Reliability CVT

Hey, I'm thinking about getting a 2014 or 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek and I was wondering if they are reliable cars and if I should get a manual or the CVT with it. Also, I wanted to know if they have any common problems. Thanks

2016 model reliability is average according to consumer reports.
