Hey Scotty, welcome to the East Coast,
A friend of mine is getting a 2.5 inch lift on his ‘15 Jeep G. Cherokee, even tho it rides super smooth already with no issues. But, what other parts should he think about replacing to support the lift ??
Cheers
Save that money for the replacement of other parts and the electronic issues he’ll experience in a few yrs.

Only thing I'll say is have it done professionally. Don't install it in your driveway.
Lifting a vehicle changes the geometry of the suspension, so you want to make sure it is done right. Otherwise you can expect premature failure of your tie rods, ball joints, and many other components.
By nature, you will be putting more strain on those parts anyway with a lift, so expect shorter life out of components like that.
If he's buying a lift kit, and it's a good quality kit, it should come with everything needed for a complete and safe lift. But, many lifted vehicles (not only Jeep) develop "death wobble". On way home a few weeks ago, a lifted Jeep started the wobble, I downshifted and got away from him. I understand it looks cool, but if you're not off-roading, serves no practical purpose, imho.
