Hi Scotty,
First off thank you for all of the content you share with the world.
I have a 2011 Tacoma that had the frame replaced last July. After which the steering was off and loose and pulled to the right. I didn’t have the bandwidth at the time to deal with it as I was fighting the VA. So I went back in April, they recommended I change the brakes the rack and pinion along with tie rods inner and outer. The steering rack was backordered so they recommended my rack and steering pump to be rebuilt at a local shop. Ever since then the alignment is still off pulling to the right and now I have a huge clunk when I sweep right to left.
The dealership left me out in the cold, I did manage to get a refund for the labor in trying to repair it this time around. I suspect the steering rack has something going on inside causing the clunk and in turn causing the steering wheel to go from 12 o’clock to 2 o’clock in how the logo is placed.
I’ve replaced the upper and lower intermediate shafts. Added new bushings to after the rack rebuild, brakes and an old man emu upgraded suspension and still this thing has a clunk and the steering wheel loses center.
I have taken the car 3 other mechanics lay one being a high end off road company which told me things are tight and we couldn’t replicate the sound.
idk what to make of it, but i don’t feel so confident in what is otherwise a solid vehicle.
sorry for the rant but you’re my only hope. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

You need to get this truck to an alignment specialty shop where mechanics actually know what they're doing and send the dealer the bill.
