If I purchase a vehicle in the state of Oklahoma and drive it back to my home state (Alaska), do I have to pay Oklahoma taxes on the vehicle?

I don't think so. You should be paying sales tax from the vehicle you would be driving in your home state. I live in Ohio and I got my Ranger across the river in Kentucky. I had to pay for an inspection because it was out of state and they reported mileage, register the vehicle, and pay Ohio sales tax. Your state may be different, though.
