I just bought it a few weeks ago for $1,800. It's just the latest of many small surprises that I've discovered. The seller was very disingenuous. It's just for fishing, hauling trash, wood ect. And a short drive back and forth for work so I don't want to pay someone or take the time myself to pull the windshield and re-install it at this stage. It has a single minor crack down the middle of it anyways. I will buy a new one and replace it down the road if I end up getting the truck to the point where it's worth it. Its a ways down the list of importants right now but at the same time I've got to do something to stop the water. Does anyone know any tried and true methods and/or products that I could use to seal the seam around the windshield without removing it? Also, I was wondering if the cargo lamp on the back of the cab could be another source for a leak?
I would just replace the glass and kill two birds with one stone
I just might do that. The cab is in good shape. I'd like to keep it that way. I just wondered if there were any good temporary fixes.
Advance Auto sells a 3M product speciffically made for that. comes in a tube.
Thanks, I'll check that out.
