Should I fix Citroen grinding sound

Hi Scotty,

I own a Citroen C4 2016 1.2L PureTech EAT6 that has about 24,000 miles on it.

I've recently been experiencing weird issues when pushing off from my car being parked in a basement carpark. After starting the car and pushing off, I hear (and feel) a grinding (as if the undercarriage of my car is grinding against a curb) after which the car "drops" (again as if it just got off a curb or a mount). This sensation seems to be coming from the back of the car.

Got off the car to check the back (as the parking lot has a short and small standalone curb to ensure the car doesn't over-shoot the allocated space) but there were no signs of scratches or anything visible. On top of that, the clearance from the short curb to any part of the car is substantial! So it doesn't seem like the car is grinding on the curb.

After driving the car around for a while, I tried the same thing is the same lot but it did not happen again; only from a cold start I assume?

I'm very perplexed and wonder if there's anything major that I should be worried about.

Grateful for this community and all the advice! {pear}

Did you use parking brake when you parked in the parking lot?

Yes I did; and when I moved off I made sure it was released 1st

You may have stuck brakes at that time. How long was the car parked there?
