I have a 2015 Corollas, CVT, with 120k miles and i was driving up a mountain yesterday however on my way up the mountain my car started shaking while accelerating out of nowhere. The check engine light started blinking and the traction controll OFF light turned on. However I made it to a parking lot and turned off my car. Then I turned my car back on and the shaking disappeared. I drove another 40 miles back down the mountain since I had made it to the top and it was running like normal and the problem has not came back since. Does anyone know why this happened? Should I be worried at all?
@chucktobias performed a scan but no codes for anything. I forgot to mention that the blinking check engine light turned off after i restarted my car
Diagnostic scans involve more than codes. Did you check for freeze frame data or analyze current live data for problems? That may show up something suspicious. (Of course it may be something purely mechanical where no codes or data apply, but if something was physically broken I would not expect it to be OK after restarting the car.)
Scan the vehicle for any codes and see if anything pops up. I would also check the CV joints and CV axle.
