Hi!
For a 2009 Toyota Yaris 4-door sedan, automatic with 103,000 miles. In the ''Park'' position I hear a slight metallic noise like a spinning chain drive coming from the engine. This noise seems to disappears in the ''Drive'' position when the car starts moving. The timing chain has never been replaced. Could this be the problem or is it something else like low transmission oil? Thanks in advance! CR

Generally, if you move from park to driving, the noise goes away. It's internal to the transmission. So do my video finding the source of car noise of Scotty on YouTube. Any device like that will tell you exactly where the noise is coming from
