Hello so  I have a 2019 toyota chr with 11k miles and my car had the tire pressure warning light came on today while I was driving. I went to a nearby parking lot and measured the tire pressure and all 4 tires were the same, then as I continued driving the tire pressure light turned off as if it fixed itself. Is this still a faulty sensor or electronics problem I should be concerned about?

when are you checking the tire pressures?  33psi on the door jamb is what they should be before you start driving (cold tire pressure). then as you drive the pressure goes up a few psi's. could be that day if it was really cold that night the pressure dropped into being low enough to turn the light on. then as you drove pressure increased and the light went out. Also, what kind of spare tire do you have? If it's full-size it has a sensor too, but if doughnut then it doesn't.

You should not get concerned until you know the tires are properly inflated and the light continues to come on. A single event could have several causes.

The batteries in the tire pressure sensors are also affected by cold.

are your tires inflated to the pressure specified on your door jamb sticker?

yes all 33 psi

does your cluster show tire pressures, or there's just an idiot light?

Put a piece of black tape over the tpms light and get a $4 tire gauge at Walmart, or, spend about $125 a piece to have all 4 tpms sensors replaced.

You need the gauge to know if the monitors are telling the truth.

Good point OGR but I would never trust the "monitors" anyway. Just another elctronic piece of junk to not work correctly.

Like Mr. Kilmer says "there's no arguing that"

Amen.
