[Solved] Toyota and Lexus 10-speed Transmission Reliability

Several part question:

1.)  Which Toyota/Lexus products currently use the Aisin 10-speed transmission?  (I just know LC500 and LS500.)

2.)  Do the LC500 and LS500 use the same 10-speed transmission?

3.)  So far has the 10-speed in the LC500 and LS500 proven reliable, or is the jury still out on it?

I have yet to see any problems with those transmission no I don't know exactly which ones fit which exact models but I have driven them and find them to shift excellently and have seen no problems yet

The transmission in the LS500 is the Aisin AWR10L65 - 10-speed Direct Shift-10A longitudinal transmission you can do your research on it and find what models have it. Toyota usually does have transmission issues with the first year of a new transmission design like in the 03 Corolla and '18 Camry but this has been out for a while it should be fine. I would avoid the LS series because of other issues they are the more problematic Lexus models because of how complex they are.

Thank you @kerem. Does the LC series (LC500, really) seem to be holding up so far? I didn’t find anything on them at Consumer Reports.

They are too new all Lexus products are holding up till now but the important thing is long term the LS series is very complex the V8 engines in them are commonly more expensive to repair.

I can't find any complaint on carcomplaints for the newer ones they usually are very well made the changes are long term.
