Hi everyone,

Is a 2009 Toyota Aygo 1.0L with manual transmission worth it? Looking for something small to drive around town.

75k miles, seller is asking for ~$2500

Or should I look for the slightly bigger Yaris?

I'm not sure any of these models are sold in the US.

Hy there!

As I know, Aygo (Toyota makes it with PSA group) is sold in Europe and Yaris all over the globe.

According to experience of an owner (Link), it does not have any much life left. Try to get lower mileage one if you plan to keep it for a long time. 1.0 engine is the only option in Aygo (Yaris offers more choice). Water pump can leak and if you don't notice it, good bye engine.

Anyway, whatever you will buy, test it first. If you like it, let a mechanic check it out.

Good luck!

They are both small cars, not excellent wisibility, quite hard ride. But for town they are excellent. I have jeep my mother has yaris. And when I go to city I prefer the yaris even it has harded ride. Aygo should be fine.

Do you have the option of a Honda Brio or Yaris or Jazz, instead?

any tiny 4 seater will do, except for smart and VWs, I hate those 🙂
I was thinking of the aygo since I drove a rented one a couple of years ago in Greece and it was more than enough for the twisty narrow roads.

The Yaris & Jazz are much better built vehicles, compared to the extremely tiny Aygo. What are all your options available in your area?
