I live in Germany and im US. I have a Toyota Celica GT Facelift but the german version (2004 Facelift). Its thr little Engine with 143PS/HP.
I have a whining noise and im afraid that it would be the tranny. Timing belt, tension role, alternator are new.
If you rev it in neutral you also can hear it but when you drive in 1-2 gear it sounds like the rev. gear... (not so loud but the noise is like a dynamo from a bike)
Can somebody tell me if its normal, i mean the fun toy is 16 years old and i have 160.000km on the clock.
