Toyota corolla 2008 po302

Hey,

My 08 corolla with 160k Miles has po302. I’ve changed the plugs recently and did a cool swap test from cylinder 3 to 2 but still get po302. The car idles poorly with the rpm’s jumping up and down and the car will also hesitate acceleration after hitting 40mph. Just wondering where to take my diagnosis from here. Thank for any info!

Have you checked the head gasket for leak?

I haven’t yet did have an idea it may have been but since it’s a major job would that be my most likely problem?

I also recently changed the valve cover gasket. I did notice the coil packs had some oil especially cylinder 2 which I cleaned with wd40 and let dry then place back figure to add this info too

You need to access to the live data to find the source, but you can try checking the head gasket leak situation by a pretty cheap kit. Also, you may have compression on that cylinder, so wet and dry compression test can give you som clues.
