Seemingly 'big ticket' repairs & maintenance on an older rust free Tundra performed at a conscientious dealership beats the hell out of trading in on a new truck... I have enjoyed over two decades of excellent service from my local Toyota dealership ( Heyward Allen ~ Athens, GA ) and with their help and following tips given by Scotty, my 2002 4.7L Tundra should outlast me.
My tip: build a long term relationship with your local Toyota dealership service writer and their mechanics.

I’m with you on building a long term relationship, with any mechanic whether the dealer or independent. For me, preferably independent.

You lucked out finding a good one. The problem with dealers is 99% of them give the other 1% a bad name.
