I would be interested in buying a Toyota FJ Cruiser and need to know if it is a good SUV to buy. What are the different models (engine size) and best year. I would prefer a 4x4 and how much should a fair price would be? Is this a car costly to maintain as I intend to keep it for a long time and how many miles can it anticipate running?

... They are good but if you get a rock smash into your windshield that would be a costly repair do to design. The engine is a 4.0 V8 with a 6 speed manuel or 5 speed automatic transmission.
Understand about the rock chips. Since the last year they were made was 2014, used ones are all that is available. Is there a model/model year of these that is kind of a sweet spot if you were thinking about getting one?
