Hey scotty, I have a 2005 toyota matrix 4wd automatic with 90k miles on it. I think im having some mpg issues because this is my daily driver for work and i drive about 45 miles there and back each day so about 90 total in 1 day. But it seems if i fill the tank up till its full, by the time i get back home from work the car is on half a tank. Please can you help, i bought the matrix because of toyota reliability and the success you've had of Owning one.
Did you try the search bar in the top right corner?

Yes. I've watch the scotty videos where he talks about mpg issues and everything is clean and/or new. Ans still having this problem
I meant the search bar of this website to find the numerous threads discussing bad mpg.
Fuel gauges are not necessarily as accurate as you might wish. I have an 09 Matrix, and according to the gauge I get 200 - 250 miles on the first 1/2 tank, then 80-150 miles on the second 1/2 tank (until the low fuel light goes on). In fact, going by the trip odometer and the refill gallons, I'm getting 30-38 mpg all the time.
Try using your trip odometer to figure your fuel mileage, as that will be accurate no matter the condition or calibration of your fuel gauge.
