The Toyota parts website shows the iridium plugs for most of their models are "no longer available."
I am a big OEM guy... Especially when I can save over $2 on each plug over generic Denso. Hey, that's $12 savings for my 2014 4Runner 😁 Like Scotty says, the engineers chose that component. That's the best for it.
Sure, I could just get SK16HR11s from so many places, but in my search I found NGK 96355 Rutheniums...
With their claims of a cleaner, more complete burn, etc... My OEM desires are being challenged.
I believe the gap is the same, before purchase, I would certainly confirm...
Thoughts? Experiences?
I would get OEM spec iridium plugs. Realize that engineers designed your engine to work with the OEM specs spark plugs.
Stick with the Denso plugs. Why tempt fate?
