Hello Scotty, love your show, been watching all episodes for the last year. Im prior military so been moving often and haven't found a great mechanic to work on my car. I got my last two cars after coming back from Japan in 2017 and haven't had an issue yet. I got a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe XL with 50,000 miles what should I do for maintenance from the point on to make it last as far as possible? I have been doing Factory recommended Full Synthetic Quaker oil changes around 5,000 to 7,000 miles at the dealer ( 60,000 warranty so i want them to do it) and tire rotations. I change the cabin filter and air filter on the regular. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. {black}:idontknow:

Transmission fluid is very important.

If it's a 6 speed automatic it's a solid transmission but it does require oil changes each 20k-30k - it's simple and oil is pretty much dirt cheap.

Hyundai manuals often recommend each 37.5k miles, But It's too much to be honest.

I’d keep the oil changes to 5k mi, change that transmission fluid/ filter (if it has one) every 50k mi, coolant flush every 90k mi. Don’t run the piss out of it all the time and hopefully it’ll treat you well.

Replace the pcv valve at each oil/filter change - 5000 miles and air filter.  Clean MAF sensor regularly.
