Hey Scotty I’ve just gotten my license I’m 16 and I’m looking at cars to buy I was thinking about either a Toyota Corolla XRS it’s a 2009 and has 120000kms. And my other option is a an older Toyota pickup or Tacoma  (1985-2012) or a Nissan hardbody or a 1990-1995 Mazda b series. And any car I would get would be a manual transmission. I was wondering if you could go overtime pros and cons and which one I should buy. Thanks.

Hy!

If money is no object, get newer one with little km on odometer. That is useful if you plan to keep your car for a lot of years.

If you want it just for a few years, it doesn't matter what you get.

Good luck!

They are all completly different but plz know that (USA) the 09 Corolla XRS has the 2.4L engine, which is known for oil burning. I have a friend with a 2.4 Rav4 and has 70k miles burns oil like mad. Check whereever you are and make sure it is NOT that engine. The Tacoma's are excellent but at the price point consider a 2012-2014 Camry or 2010-2013 Corolla. Skip the Mazda.
