Toyota Pruis 2010 "Check Hybrid system"

I've experienced this issue twice now. Each time, a message reading "Check Hybrid System" automatically appears on my dashboard. The car then begins to slow down while I'm driving, which I found unsettling.

I initially tried to resolve the issue by resetting the system with a youtube video (link Below) by unplugging a fuse, but it has recurred. The latest incident occurred while I was on the freeway, causing the car to automatically slow down and preventing me from accelerating. I was only able to steer the vehicle to the side using the steering wheel and activate the emergency lights.

I am worried that this issue may persist, even after resetting the system. Can you suggest any actions I can take or modifications I can make to prevent this from happening again? While I'm not a professional mechanic, I have some basic knowledge about car maintenance and am capable of making simple repairs.

thank you for your time i know that your

very busy with 100k questions lol im patient. @joshtheoneandonly

Have you tried using a scan tool? Is the check engine light on too?

If you can pull the codes with a scan tool, we might be able to better help.

Go to O’Reilly or Advanced Auto to borrow a scan tool for free. You can check it in the parking lot. Takes about 5 minutes to pull the codes.

(don’t go to AutoZone, their scan tool sucks.)

the check engine light is not on, and when I attempted to use a scan tool to diagnose the issue, no codes were detected because I had reset it. However, if the issue returns, it could potentially prevent the car from being driven.

I took the car to Toyota, and they informed me that they cannot identify any issues until the "check hybrid system" light appears. If I want to have the problem diagnosed, it will cost around $190. However, there is a chance that no codes will be generated, which could make it difficult to determine the root cause of the problem. Therefore, the only option would be to have the car towed to the dealership and pay for a diagnosis on top. i don't think i can pay for all that.

Unfortunately, I am currently in a situation where I am waiting for the issue to recur and hoping that I will be able to use my scan tool to diagnose it and when i do i will let you know.
