Hey! I am needing a pickup and narrowed it down to a tundra. I am trying to buy around 20k, preferably slightly under. I do plan on financing/buying with a dealership.
My main concern: How many miles is too many miles to buy a used tundra? Which engine and model year would be good for me to look for? I know I am supposed to avoid 2012 and 2007.
Looking for reliability, and to not have to buy another vehicle for a long time.
could I request another moderators opinion? This answer was not very helpful. Thanks!

Scotty’s opinion -
More than the mileage, look at the current condition of the vehicle, to see the actual shape that it’s in. And be sure to have it inspected by a professional mechanic, before purchase. Don’t be afraid to walk away from one, if the PPI throws up any red flags.
All the best!

If it has 500k miles, then don't buy it. I've seen a few that have reached a million miles before but I wouldn't gamble at that rate.

I'm sorry but you're going to have to look somewhere else. You might get lucky but with this current market, you're going to spend at least another $5-10k to get a Toyota Tundra.
