I have a 2010 Mitsubishi Galant, it only has a little over 163,000 miles. The traction control has been a big issue for me lately. It keeps turning off within 5 minutes of driving. I’ve taken it to countless mechanics and even the dealership. I had to find and replace the stop switch myself since they don’t make them anymore and I tried 3 different ones I found from pick and pulls. I’ve gotten the wheel speed sensor replaced and every mechanic is confused and just recommends replacing everything it could be but it would cost too much to do that. It doesn’t throw off the check engine light so it just confuses me and every mechanic I talk too. Do you know what it could be? What should I do? I live in Wisconsin so with winter approaching soon I don’t want to go through another winter with no traction control. It still runs and drives like a beauty aside from that one little thing.

Did you use OEM speed sensors? The ones in junkyards are probably shot. Avoid dealerships. They're glorified parts changers, anymore, they're not true mechanics. They're there to sell you new cars, not fix an old one. It's a 13-year-old car.

In otherwords, loading the parts cannon? You can do that yourself without paying a mechanic to do it. Obviously, he or she isn't a true mechanic. A true mechanic will tell you what is wrong.
Go get OEM wheel speed sensors from the Original Equipment Manufacturer, first. That's the least expensive option. Troubleshoot from there, if it doesn't work. You would need a higher level scanner to access wheel speed sensors. My $120 scanner won't do it.
