Hey scotty, I'm new to the channel. Found on a 2016 Toyota rav4 xle awd. Thinking about trading in my 09 jeep grand cherokee laredo. I got it in the summer of 2013 for around 16,000, it had 80,000 miles then & now it has 188,367 miles on it. I been in 2 accidents in the last 7 months. The 1st one was last summer. The car behind me was driving to close when I stop he hit me and the car behind him hit him. His insurance cover the damge but after that accident I had to replace my spark plugs & coiles. Then a week before Thanksgiving a deer hit me. My insurance cover the damge but u found out I had to replace my radiator (which was not part of the deer accident), and it affected my coils and spark plugs. So I had to replace them again. Now my engine light trun back on again and checked it out and it's the catalytic converter. It's really a no Brainerd. But I still want your opinion. Should I trade in my 09 jeep grand cherokee laredo for the 2016 Toyota rav4, it has 25,843 & the dealer has it for sale for $25,500. Is it to good to be true. Let me know and thanks.

Generally it can be a great move. Just make sure your mechanic checks the car before purchase.

In general it is a good move from a Jeep that is having all those problems to a rav4. But if you don't have to have the XLE trim of the rav4 then why not purchase a brand new one given the price they are asking for the 2016 used car?! A brand new LE rav4 starts at $26525 and if you need to have AWD then about a $1000 ish more but you would be getting a brand new car. And if by chance the dealership you go to has any 2021 models left they might be willing to negotiate and give it at lower than msrp (but remember they MIGHT because of the car shortage).
