I have a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 88k miles and thinking of trading of 2021 Nissan rouge you think it would be better of keeping the Jeep?

I also have a 2005 Ford Escape 3.0 V6 199,800 miles what you think of the first generation escape?

+1 on the RAV4.  I'm not terribly thrilled with Nissan myself (especially the older ones, but IMO that's enough for me not to want to really seriously consider them myself these days) and especially if it has a CVT I would take the RAV4 instead.  Toyota has had very few if any problems with their CVTs.  Nissans history with CVTs is spotty (especially with cars like the Versa which was well known for having CVT problems over the years).

If you want reliable, I would say get the RAV4 or a Highlander.

Good to know! We just need a gas saver suv. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Jeep just takes up way too much gas with it 3.6L V6. My brother always tells me that we didn’t get a good deal on our Jeep and that it will start breaking down and going to start having electrical issues but we have not had any issues at all.

Definitely go for the RAV4 and forget that Rogue.

The Rogues do not have the quality that the RAV4's do and are about equal in price.

Pass on the Nissan.

I would wait a bit and see what problems it could develop. It's completely redesigned and you don't know what issues it may have. If you're looking at a new compact suv, I would suggest either a RAV4 or CR-V. Both have been out for a few years and most of their issues have been resolved. The Rouge isn't bad, but there are better options in my opinion. Nissan does have issues with their CVT transmissions. Maybe their newly redesigned vehicles don't have those issues, but you would have to wait and see how things pan out. Either way, the new Rouge looks very nice and premium. What draws you from Jeep to Nissan?

Well we had a 2012 Mazda 3 with literally no issues since we got it at a 3rd party dealership. We have been looking at cars for a while and we were thinking of getting a bigger vehicle. One of the cv axels needed to be replaced. Once that was done, it was leaking oil like crazy. The next day we traded it in for a Jeep we think it was a good deal.

Interesting. I'm not the biggest fan of Mazda or Jeep (FCA for that matter). I would go for a RAV4 if I were you.

Like @sirhawkeye mentioned, try looking at the Highlander too. They are great SUV's. And if you're interested in getting better gas milage there's always the Highlander Hybrid.
