I plan to buy a2023 civic but notice the cat transmission is built in Mexico. In fact all new civic in the Los Angeles area their transmission are fro Mexico. Is this concern since you stated in previous videos cars built in Mexico are low quality
I would not buy any vehicle made in Mexico or England for that matter.
Looking at complaints on the 22/23 Civic, have not found anything about the transmission (on NHTSA it's the "powertrain" category), neither have I found anything about it on CarComplaints - for now it seems like the tranny is holding up.
Note that there are plenty of complaints about the Civic's steering system and LKAS fighting with the driver.
Consider saving about $3,500 and doing with a Corolla, or even a Corolla hybrid / Corolla hatch / CH-R / Corolla Cross - they're cheaper and tend to be better built.
So the new generation Civic is manufactured in Canada for both the US and Canada market. The transmission is built there but it's for Honda so it has their quality. I have a new Civic since almost two years ago and there's nothing wrong with it. And even if the whole car was assembled in Mexico I still wouldn't be worried about it; someone asked Scotty about the new Toyota Tacoma being assembled in Mexico and he said it's fine because it's Toyota quality.

When did Honda start production of the Civic in Mexico? The current generation is made in Japan, Canada, USA (Indiana), China, Pakistan, Thailand or Malayasia (depending on which market).
I don't believe that their cat (catalytic converter) is made in Mexico.
Honda CVT's (although different than earlier ones) are not their strong point. They won't long last. If you want one, go for a manual transmission.
