Hi Scotty, I own a 2008 Corolla CE with an automatic transmission. I think it uses the older Toyota fluid, but I am not sure. However, I wanted to know if I should change the fluid. The fluid was changed at 30,000 miles, flushed at 114,000 miles, and now the car has 167,000 miles. It currently shifts without any noticeable problems.

Please see under FAQ. But, yes, I would change it and filter (if applicable) every 40,000 miles.
Thank you. I just wasn’t sure if it was too long between changes. I’ve heard that sometimes it is better just to not change it if it has been too long.
