Hello Scotty and everyone, 

Have an 08 Lexus GS350 AWD with over 161,000 miles. It was purchased used and I'm not sure if it has ever had the transmission fluid changed, there's no record in it's service history. To me i havent detected any problems with the trans however, my mechanic is against the trans fluid change because of how much time and miles that have passed. He told me about a client that did it and blew out his trans, he said the "sediment" gets pulled down and clogs up some parts of the trans but I believe he's thinking of a trans flush of which Scotty and others warn against. Please give me your best recommendations.
