Transmission fluid weep 97 Pathfinder

I’m noticing some transmission fluid weeping from the center of transmission  at the bottom two bolts. Never drips but it is wet. Looks to be coming out bolts itself.

Sorry I meant transfer case leak.

Don’t worry about it until it actually drips onto the floor overnight.

scotty just mentioned to try some at-205 inside

Transfer case gaskets are not rubber. I doubt if AT-205 will help. AT-205 only works on rubber, as I understand.

How long do you think I have before this really becomes an issue? I dont want to run into issues or damage anything. Would that leak more in the winter?

I wouldn’t worry much. Even if it drips a little, … just check a fill hole, … add a bit of fluid until it overfills, … say, twice a year. As I recall, transfer case uses ATF, but check. As how will that last without damage to the transfer case? Oh, … most likely it will outlive the rest of the truck!

Best,

Well that made me feel a lot better lol.

One last question, do you recommend I change the fluid or simply leave as is? It does use Dexron ATF fluid. I've never had it changed and the service manual does not have a time change interval.

Thanks for the info and help!

While you at it, … change it, if you like. All beveled gears and shafts inside - splash lubrication. If you don’t 4wheel much, it just free wheeling together with a front differential and front wheel hubs. I don’t recall a volume of ATF needed, … so check it first in your owners manual.
