Hello.
I have been having issues with my 2008 Saturn Vue XE and would like some feedback on it. So every so often it does a slip which kind of stutters the acceleration, And recently it pulled up 2 codes and when I look at it online. It says transmission control system malfunction and shift solenoid A stuck on. I took it to a transmission shop and they said the transmission is not getting a proper vacuum and it’ll be a $700 fix. So if anyone has any information on it for me I’d be much appreciated.
What were the codes? Please post them here.
The codes were P0700 and P0750
I have a 2008 Vue with the same engine, and the description you're having sounds similar to mine. The stuttering occurs generally between about 28 and 40 mph while accelerating moderately. I was wondering if you ever figured out how to fix the problem? I haven't put mine on a scan tool yet. Thanks!
Well go to another mechanic get a second opinion if it really has vacuum problems they're not that expensive to fix but from my experience of those things those transmissions are terrible and they often will trip codes like that because of internal failure of the transmission which cost more than the vehicles worth
