I was looking online at some cars and I found a newish Volvo XC90; 2018 to be exact. The engine used in that car is a 4-cylinder engine that is turbocharged, supercharged and is a plug-in hybrid. How long do you think that engine will last with proper care and all of those mods?

I would not even bet on those complex engines. The best anyone can do is to lease a newer one and return before the warranty expires. All the modern Volvos are European high tech vehicles owned by Chinese company Geely. Volvos used to make good, long lasting vehicles back in the day, but not anymore. The newer ones become money pits outside of warranty - and good luck trying to diagnose and fix issues. My advice: if you like it, lease one.
