Morning Scotty,
Last night around 3am my 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 z71 (5.3 v8, 56k miles) randomly decided for the alarm to go off in my garage. I went done checked it out and nobody was there, nothing had happened that would trigger the alarm. The problem is, no matter what I did, the alarm wouldn’t go off. The locks were cycling locked and unlocked and the key wouldn’t work unless I manually put it in the door. I had to unhook the battery to get it to stop. when I hooked the battery up again this morning it immediately went back to alarming and cycling the locks for about 2 minutes, stopped, and then started again. What could be wrong with it?
thanks,
jack
Test the battery first. Make sure you are getting the correct voltage. If the battery is ok, then you may have bad sensors or a wiring issue.
