hi, i have a 97 silverado i’ve been having an issue with it not wanting to start in the morning for work, and if it does it runs very choppy and and back fires like crazy, now when i get home after work (9 hours in the sun) it starts right up and runs smooth, the fuel pressure jumps around 55-65 in the morning when i check it! if anyone could give me some tips on how to fix this issue i’ll greatly appreciate it! thank you for your time
I had a similar problem on a 95 GM.
In the air cleaner box is a temperature sensor that tells the injectors that the air is cold. Kind of like an electronic choke. Find it and check to see if its bad. I had mine replaced and it solved the problem.
okay! i’ll check that out when i get to the house
Clean the injectors and replace the spark plugs.
spark plugs and wires are brand new, how would i go about cleaning them with out breaking them or the intake?
Run a couple of bottles of Techron thru the tank and give it the Italian tune up or remove the injectors and clean or replace them. Lots of videos on youtube to show you how.
