So I got two questions for you are you a long bed like the 91 Toyota pickup or are you a short bed guy like the Honda Ridgeline?

My next question is what do you think of the Honda Element I've seen some around Littlefield where I live and I really like the shape and the size and the fact that they are a little bit more roomier on the driver's side I have a bad leg on my left side I need that room  to stretch it out I also like how it sits a little bit taller if I was to trade in my truck for one what year would you recommend and was there any bad years of that particular model Honda?

One is a traditional, body-on-frame truck, the other is a unibody that's shaped like a truck. I'm pretty sure the Honda has an independent rear suspension, while the Toyota is a traditional, solid axle rear end. Leaf springs and shocks are on the rear axle, not struts. One is much more car-like, while the other rides like a truck. Honda Elements are good vehicles, providing the owners took care of them. Bring one to a mechanic and have him check it out.

Regarding the Honda Element, see previous discussions about it on this forum (if you do a search):

.

They were solid vehicles overall.  I have a friend who took theirs to a little over 340,000 miles.  The Element was offered for just one generation from 2003-2011.  You can go to Wikipedia to see the model year changes over the year:

You can also look at some of the issues over the years:

FYI, the 5-speed manual transmission was available 2003-2009.  The 4-speed automatic transmission was 2003-2006 but went to 5-speed from 2007-2011.  If you know how to drive manual, I’d go for that for ultimate reliability.

Scotty isn't much of a truck guy. I don't think he owns any.

I’d like to hear what Scotty says.

In my opinion, I think the element is a great car. I would prefer one 2007 and up. They are just a little more refined. But I wouldnt pass a good deal on an older one.  Assuming it checks out.
