First and foremost congratulations on your 2 billion viewers. You're absolutely amazing never miss a show. I have a 1991 coachman CLARiiON RV it rides on a Ford F250 chassis just a front in front wheel drive rear axle is a torsion axle replace shocks tires are inflated correct size the car will not stay on the road keep swinging from side to side once I hit 45 MPH it feels like I'm driving a truck or I'm intoxicated it won't drive in a straight line In the process of replacing all the bushings for the swaybar what else can I do. I've taken it to everyone known to mankind. RV dealerships truck dealerships garage is even a Ford dealership. No one seems to know what's wrong with it. Godfather of compression engines please help me I come to you on bent knee. Your humble groupie James
clapped out steering rack maybe.... Rusted out suspension... could be a lot of things based on your description
The sway bar would not have that severe an effect. That 31-year-old truck has an old-school steering box rather than a steering rack. Check it for internal looseness and that it is firmly attached to a solid (not rust-perforated) frame rail. Also check the pitman arm, idler arm, and the entire steering mechanism for looseness and make sure their anchor points are not rusted out. Also check all front suspension components, joints and bushings for looseness and control arms for damage. At that age it would not surprise me to find that the entire front suspension and steering mechanism needs to be overhauled, or components are loose due to rust.
Have you checked the tie rod ends?
