[Solved] Vacuum Pump for Oil Change Vs Drain Plug Removal

Hi Scotty, I have a question. Would you recommend using a vacuum pump for removing the motor oil from a 2011 Honda CR-V EX engine versus removing the oil plug to get most of the motor oil out from the engine? I have a hand vacuum pump with a hose that would go into the dipstick hole to the bottom of the oil pan. I could then pump out all the oil that way. It seems like it would be easier. Then to complete the job I only need to get under the car to remove and replace the oil filter. What do you recommend and have you ever tried this method? I also wouldn't have to replace the oil plug gasket as well. I'm thinking I would also be able to draw more oil from the engine than by draining the oil pan through the plug. Your thoughts, please. Thanks a lot.

Aside from anything else, if you have to crawl under the car anyway to get at the oil filter might as well just use the drain plug for the oil.
