My dad announced he will be selling his 77 Suburban next year.  94,000 orig miles.  350  3 sp with granny gear, 2wd.  No rust.  What is going to be his best way to get what the actual value is?  cars.com usually has 0-4 nationwide within 5-10 years of his for sale at any time.  They can range from 3000-15000 or more.

To be honest, it really depends on what the potential buyer sees in the vehicle, and how much he is willing to pay for those original miles.

In such cases, it’s better to sell it to somebody who appreciates the charm of older vehicles & is willing to pay a premium for them. I wouldn’t sell it to any Tom, Dick & Harry since they’ll offer you peanuts.

Good luck!

  • I’m in agreement with the above response and would like to ad: what you got is and correct me if I’m wrong an actual 3 speed manual. So you got a solid 1/2 ton truck with plenty power and awful gas mileage. look at your market,in Texas trucks are outrageous. A 77 is a classic for sure but not like a 77 pickup. If you are going to let it go , put a more than fair price on it and see what happens. I just sold my 99 Camaro with 80k miles on it. I put 8200 on it. First guy who came would have gave 3000 more for it. Did not get another bite for 6 weeks. It’s hard times but the old stuff is still in high demand. Good Luck
